The news that 20 new electric vehicle charging stations have opened at Crossgates Mall is a gamechanger. These charging stations are such a vital piece of infrastructure. They are necessary to serve folks who already drive electric vehicles and to encourage others to consider purchasing one.
Gas-powered vehicles contribute heavily to our greenhouse gas emissions in New York. Extensive use of electric vehicles will shave those nasty emissions considerably. Electric vehicles will greatly help us to achieve our lofty goals in our climate legislation, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
We can all look forward to a cleaner, quieter future as we transition to zero-emission cars. Personally, I will look forward to an afternoon of shopping or perhaps a movie with a bite to eat while my Bolt charges in the mall parking lot.
