EAU CLAIRE (WQOW)- An Eau Claire-based electric vehicle shuttle service is expanding to provide sustainable energy transportation.
Starting in March, Green Fleet will offer local on-demand rides in Teslas that can be scheduled through Mobile 22, a rideshare service based in Madison. Rides will be available to and from destinations within a 100-mile radius of Eau Claire in fully electric vehicles.
Owners say the opportunity to provide new, eco-friendly transportation services is crucial to protecting our environment.
“We need to go to a sustainable energy transportation system to make sure that we can still move around our society and our economy,” said Bill Lobner, founder and CEO of Green Fleet. “Electric vehicles are the leading way to do that right now, and the environmental benefits are very clear.”
Green Fleet previously offered shuttles solely to and from Eau Claire to the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, and will continue to do so.
In addition, Green Fleet will also offer food, package and other delivery services for residential and commercial customers.
